ABOUT

Griff Davis moved to Tahoe in 1984 to chase his passion for skiing and quickly found a second home in the mountains. Raised in Oregon, he grew up on job sites working alongside his father, a General Contractor. Learning the trade the old-school way—long before computers, lasers, and CAD—Griff developed a rare ability to read 2D plans and bring them to life in three dimensions.

His interest in design sparked early. In high school, his architecture class selected Griff’s home design to be built— and that home still stands today in Beaverton, Oregon.

Griff brought his craftsmanship to the Sierras and became a licensed General Contractor in 1997. With over four decades of mountain living and building experience, he understands the terrain, the four-season climate, and what it takes to create long-lasting structures that can endure Tahoe’s sometimes brutal winters.

Today, Griff lives in Truckee with his partner Melissa and their young dog, Wild Wilma. When he’s not on a job site, you’ll find him skiing, competitive slalom waterskiing, or riding enduro/dez dirt bikes. He’s also a proud dad to his Tahoe-raised daughter, Haley.

Griff Davis Construction employs the highest skilled local carpenters, tradesmen and sub contractors. We all live here locally and understand the materials and engineering needed to keep your home beautiful, functional and mountain fortified.
